Title: Materials Data on SnH22(Cl3O5)2 by Materials Project

Abstract

SnCl6(H9O4)2(H2O)2 crystallizes in the monoclinic P2_1/c space group. The structure is zero-dimensional and consists of four hydrogen tetrahydrate molecules, four water molecules, and two SnCl6 clusters. In each SnCl6 cluster, Sn4+ is bonded in an octahedral geometry to six Cl1- atoms. There are a spread of Sn–Cl bond distances ranging from 2.44–2.49 Å. There are three inequivalent Cl1- sites. In the first Cl1- site, Cl1- is bonded in a single-bond geometry to one Sn4+ atom. In the second Cl1- site, Cl1- is bonded in a single-bond geometry to one Sn4+ atom. In the third Cl1- site, Cl1- is bonded in a single-bond geometry to one Sn4+ atom.
