Ferrell 301-903-0043 301-903-0043 Research Areas: Consistent with the original proposal (dated July 17, 2007), the grant supported the participation in the above conference of several meteorologists who were involved strongly in the ARM Mobile Facility deployment in Niamey during 2006 and are participating in analysis of the resulting data. The following five individuals were fully funded (complete airfare, accommodation, registration, meals) to participate in the Conference - Professor Abdelkrim Ben Mohammed (University of Niamey); Abdou Adam Abdoul-Axix Abebe (Forecaster, ASECNA Forecast Office, Niamey Airport); Ibrah Seidou Sanda (University of Niamey); Professor Anthony Slingo (ESSC, University of Reading), and Dr. Zewdu Tessema Segele (Post-Doctoral Research Scientist, CIMMS, University of Oklahoma). The following two individuals were partly funded (for some of their airfare, accommodation, registration, meals) to participate in the Conference - Professor Peter J. Lamb (CIMMS, University of Oklahoma) and M. Issa Lele (Ph.D. Student from Niamey, CIMMS, University of Oklahoma). I am confident that the participation of the above individuals in the Conference has helped focus the analysis of data collected by the ARM Mobile Facility in Niamey during 2006, and especially facilitated the involvement of University of Niamey scientists in that data analysis. We appreciate greatly this support from the ARM Program.
