  • Presentation outlines industry trends and statistics revolving around the use and production of ethanol and biodiesel.
  • The lessons that electric and gas utilities are learning from the pricing of their services are discussed. The utilities will have accountants look at their operations, determine quantities and costs, and set prices so that the quantities sold will produce revenue equal to costs, or even greater than costs so the company can make a profit. The demand side of the business and the diversification going on in the industry are described.
  • Life extension of military systems poses a continuous risk of soaring costs due to corrosion control measures. In a context where the majority of corrosion problems are a direct result of compounded human and organizational errors, there is scope for considerable savings to budgets by improving the process by which one learns from the lessons of the past. In this paper the use of the latest computer technology is discussed in the context of transforming often sterile reports and documents into easily accessible information systems.
  • Abstract not provided.
  • To discover lessons learned and trends established through the current licensing effort, the situation with the 1993 relicense applications was examined, and comments were gathered from various affected parties. In this article, the author reports significant findings and suggestions that can be useful in future relicensing work. 1 fig., 2 tabs.
