Electron impact excitation cross sections of the n = 2 states of helium by electron impact. [20 to 23 eV]

The electron impact excitation of the He23S, 1S, P cross sections were re-investigated from threshold to a maximum of 8 eV above threshold (in the case of the 3S state). Data are plotted showing a comparison of theoretical and experimental values of the He 1s2s3S and 1s2s1S excitation cross sections. 6 references. (JFP)
