Title: Hot-Core Characterization of Direct-Drive Spherical Cryogenic D2 Target Implosion

A novel model to infer the hot-core temperature density profiles in cryogenic deuterium (D2) capsule implosions is presented. The profiles are consistent with the measured primary deuterium-deuterium (DD) and secondary deuterium-tritium (DT) yields, the neutron-averaged ion temperature, and the x-ray image at peak neutron production.
