Workshop on Laboratory Astrophysics Using High Intensity Particle and Photon Beams
As a major first step towards building a Laboratory Astrophysics program at SLAC, a ''Workshop on Laboratory Astrophysics using High Intensity Particle and Photon Beams'' was held on October 11-13, 2001 at SLAC. Its purpose was to review the outstanding questions in astrophysics that can be possibly addressed in the laboratory setting for their resolution and to explore corroborative experimental ideas for building a strong science case for the program. This should also lead to providing guidance to the specification of a possible facility for laboratory astrophysics at SLAC.
