CASMO Doppler coefficients versus MCNP-3A Monte Carlo calculations

CASMO has previously been benchmarked against the Hellstrand measured resonance integrals and Doppler coefficients. The benchmarks shows that CASMO-calculated Doppler coefficients are within the measured uncertainty of 8% for a wide range of resonance shielding typical for boiling water reactor (BWR) and pressurized water reactor (PWR) lattices. This paper presents results from benchmark calculations for PWR pin cells. CASMO-3 and CASMO-4 results are compared with published reference solutions from MCNP-3A continuous-energy Monte Carlo calculations using ENDF/B-V cross-section data.
