Migratory orientation by marbled salamanders (Ambystoma opacum) near a breeding area
Journal Article

· Behav. Biol.; (United States)
Marbled salamanders (Ambystoma opacum) exhibited oriented movements when migrating to and from breeding areas. The directional precision of these movements was affected only slightly by length of time spent in the breeding area, size (age), and sex of migrating individuals, and actual directions of travel. New methods of presenting orientation data are incorporated. (auth)
