Magnetic pumping of energy into a nonequilibrium turbulent plasma as a possible energy source in solar flares

The dissipation of the energy of an external slowly varying magnetic field into a nonequilibrium (Kolmogorov) turbulent plasma is analyzed. It is shown that the field energy is absorbed considerably faster than in the case of an equilibrium system of plasmons. The proposed mechanism can be very important under the conditions of solar flares.
