Lattice strain in the TiB/sub 2/ related to initial-stage sintering of TiB/sub 2/ powder and TiB/sub 2/--Ni mixed powder under high pressure

Lattice strain for TiB/sub 2/ grains is affected by plastic deformation, chemical reaction, and destruction of TiB/sub 2/ grains in initial-stage sintering under high pressure. The present study reports that lattice strain is closely related to the initial-stage sintering of TiB/sub 2/ powder and TiB/sub 2/ powder mixed with Ni powder.
