Kinetic inductance measurements have been used to study the spatial variation of the order parameter in an amorphous Bi-Fe proximity sandwich. The kinetic inductance L/sub K/(T) of the sandwich is inversely proportional to the spatial average of the square of the order parameter (parallel PSI parallel/sup 2/). The experimental results are in excellent agreement with calculations by Fulde and Moormann of the spatial dependence of PSI in a proximity sandwich based on the Ginzburg-Landau equations.
