MYSTIC: an IBM 704 nuclear code to obtain multigroup diffusion and transport theory constants

MYSTIC, an IBM 704 code to obtain multigroup diffusion and transport theory constants, is described in this memorandum. The multigroup constants are obtained by integrating subgroup data over a specified neutron spectrum. The code will operate with up to 40 output groups and 100 input subgroups. A neutron spectrum is required as input. Typical machine time is five minutes for a sixteen group problem.
