Deep inelastic scattering structure functions and determination of the QCD scale. Lambda. in schemeinvariant perturbation theory
Abstract
A renormalizationschemeindependent perturbation theory is developed for application to deep inelastic scattering. Perturbative expansions for the moments of nonsinglet structure functions independent of the renormalization scheme used are obtained. Within the framework of the proposed method a QCD analysis of current experimental data is performed. It is shown that the schemeinvariant perturbative predictions permit a more precise and reliable determination of the QCD scale {Lambda}.
