Title: Deep inelastic scattering structure functions and determination of the QCD scale. Lambda. in scheme-invariant perturbation theory

Abstract

A renormalization-scheme-independent perturbation theory is developed for application to deep inelastic scattering. Perturbative expansions for the moments of non-singlet structure functions independent of the renormalization scheme used are obtained. Within the framework of the proposed method a QCD analysis of current experimental data is performed. It is shown that the scheme-invariant perturbative predictions permit a more precise and reliable determination of the QCD scale {Lambda}.
