Title: Proceedings of the 23rd Annual Precise Time and Time Interval (PTTI) Applications and Planning Meeting

Abstract

A compilation of technical papers, from the 23rd annual Precise Time and Time Interval (PTTI) Applications and Planning Meeting, is presented. Papers were given in the following categories: (1) developments in rubidium, cesium, and hydrogen-based frequency standards, and in cryogenic and trapped-ion technology; (2) international and transnational applications of PTTI technology with emphasis on satellite laser tracking networks, GLONASS timing, comparison of national time scales and international communications; (3) applications of PTTI technology to the telecommunications, power distribution, platform positioning, and geophysical survey industries; (4) applications of PTTI technology to evolving military communications and navigation systems; and (5) dissemination of precise time and frequency by means of GPS, GLONASS, MILSTAR, Loran, and synchronous communications satellites.

  • Abstracts of 139 papers presented at this meeting are included in these proceedings. Abstracts of 23 poster presentations are also presented. Abstracts of 27 alternate papers (not presented) are also included. A variety of oncologic topics were discussed in the sessions of the meetings including: Hodgkins lymphomas; colonectal cancer; radiation physics; radiotherapy trials with high-LET particles; radiotherapy of specific sites; hyperthermia; radiobiology; combined modality therapy, radioprotective substances and sensitizers; treatment planning; and side effects of radiotherapy.   • This book presents the papers given at a conference on electrical equipment for industrial plants. Topics considered at the conference included mine power system reliability, mine power system grounding, fiber optic sensors in petrochemical plants, electric arc furnaces, electrostatic precipitators, lighting controls, and fluorescent lamps.
