Title: The production of nitrogen oxides on platinum and nickel from atomic nitrogen and molecular oxygen

Abstract

The reactions of N-atoms with molecular oxygen and N[sub 2]O catalyzed by Pt and Ni were studied by spectroscopic and mass spectrometer methods in a discharge flow system. The products of this reaction were NO and/or N[sub 2]O which were produced in the temperature range from 100 to 400[degrees]C. 9 refs., 7 figs., 1 tab.
