Statistical modeling procedures based on hydrological and meteorological regression and time series analysis are formulated for determining flooding likelihood and extent in watershed areas. The computer simulations are parameterized to data for the drainage basins and rivers of the West Siberian plain and can be used to determine snow melt and rainwater losses in water resource management and conservation programs.
