The Linac-Booster vacuum system provides insulating vacuum for 12 accelerator and 2 buncher cryostats and evacuates the beamlines that transport the beam to and from the linac. Turbo-molecular pumps (TMP) are used in the system. The TMP pumping stations are described, and the performance of the system is discussed. The system is monitored and controlled by a vacuum satellite computer communicating with a main control computer. The control hardware and software are described. (LEW)
