Gas supply trends, 1996--2002

This is the fourth in a series of reports examining North American gas supply trends, focusing on proved reserves, using a simple reserves-driven production projection method. Assumptions used in the projections and the method itself are briefly described. Data are provided on the status of proved reserves (reserve additions, production, and year-end reserves) and on projected gas production in various regions of Canada and the United States. Comparison of supply projections to forecast gas demand leads to conclusions regarding gas prices, gas production, and pipeline capacity.
