Computer-assisted cardiac nuclear medicine
The purpose of this work is to supply an introduction to the use of computers for the non-computer scientist, physician, technologist, or other individual who is involved with clinical cardiovascular nuclear medicine. The book is divided into four sections. The first section (two chapters) deals with applications of numbers and logic to computers. The second section (eight chapters) deals with computer hardware. Software is described in the third section (five chapters) and the discussion leads the reader from programming fundamentals to the application of Basic and Fortran languages. The final section (six chapters) deals with specific computer applications in cardiovascular nuclear medicine, ranging from a brief discussion of the necessary basics for a cardiac nuclear medicine facility to introductory remarks about the application of tomography.
