This patent describes a heat pump system. It comprises: an internal combustion engine motive power source; a refrigeration compressor coupled to the internal combustion engine; rigid means interconnecting the internal combustion engine and coupled refrigeration compressor as a unit; and a plurality of compression spring means supporting the internal combustion engine and connected refrigeration compressor. Each the compression spring having a spring rate and a natural frequency under load which is substantially less than the lowest operating frequency of the internal combustion engine and connected refrigeration compressor.
