The USSR Ministry of Power is giving increased attention to the problems of economical consumption fuel, raw materials, and efficient labor use. The tenth 5-year program was implemented in the power industry with the attainment of specific results in the reduction of costs for fuel, power, labor, and other resources. It is claimed that the program has resulted in the saving of over 1 million tons of fuel.
