Abstract

The bibliography contains citations concerning economic and engineering aspects of coal transportation by truck, rail, water, and pipeline. Cost comparisons of the various transportation modes and factors affecting future expansion of the transportation systems are discussed. The use of computer simulations to predict transport performance, and the pretreatment of coal for transportation are briefly considered. (Contains a minimum of 51 citations and includes a subject term index and title list.)
