The primary effort during the past year went into the preparation of instrumentation and software for the series of polarization experiments that have now begun. A large neutron bar counter to be used in coincidence experiments was developed, a more powerful computer (PDP-11/60) for on-line data acquisition was installed, and a polarized hydrogen target was also installed. In addition, the multiwire proportional chamber previously used was rebuilt to increase its acceptance. Most of the equipment seems to be functioning well. Data obtained previously have already been analyzed and published, or soon will be. (RWR)
