Title: {Lambda}{sup 0} polarization in exclusive {ital pp} reactions at 27.5 GeV/c

In {Lambda}{sup 0}{close_quote}s created from the specific reactions: pp{r_arrow}p{Lambda}{sup 0}K{sup +}{pi}{sup +}{pi}{sup {minus}}, pp{r_arrow}p{Lambda}{sup 0}K{sup +}{pi}{sup +}{pi}{sup {minus}}{pi}{sup +}{pi}{sup {minus}}, pp{r_arrow}p{Lambda}{sup 0}K{sup +}{pi}{sup +}{pi}{sup {minus}}{pi}{sup +}{pi}{sup {minus}}{pi}{sup +}{pi}{sup {minus}}, and pp{r_arrow}p{Lambda}{sup 0}K{sup +}{pi}{sup +}{pi}{sup {minus}}{pi}{sup +}{pi}{sup {minus}}{pi}{sup +}{pi}{sup {minus}}{pi}{sup +}{pi}{sup {minus}}, using 27.5 GeV/c proton beam incident on a liquid hydrogen target, we measured {Lambda}{sup 0} polarization as a function of x{sub F} and P{sub T}. We found that {Lambda}{sup 0} polarization is independent of any particular final state and of any specific mechanism responsible of producing {Lambda}{sup 0}. {copyright} {ital 1998 American Institute of Physics.}
