Abstract

The bibliography contains citations concerning the use of optical radar, or LIDAR, to monitor and study atmospheric phenomena. Applications include ceilometers, atmospheric visibility and transmissivity, air pollution detection, and atmospheric aerosols and constituents. Included are the design and evaluation of components, such as lasers, adaptive optics and heterodyning circuits. Some peripheral usage is also referenced, such as water pollution detection, and ranging and tracking of personnel and vehicles. (Contains a minimum of 90 citations and includes a subject term index and title list.)
