It is well known that small amounts of surfactants, such as 2-ethyl-1-hexanol, in the absorption fluid can increase the heat and mass transfer of absorption cooling systems significantly. In this paper the authors report the experimental results of dynamic surface tension of aqueous lithium bromide with the presence of 2-ethyl-1-hexanol, so that the results can provide more insight into the interfacial heat and mass transfer phenomena. In addition, the mass diffusivity of 2-ethyl-1-hexanol in the aqueous lithium bromide is estimated.
