GSHELL: Multichannel analyzer/multichannel scaler emulation software for IBM-PC-compatible computers

We have developed a multichannel analyzer/multichannel scaler program for use on IBM-PC-compatible computers. This software, called GSHELL, offers several advantages over commercial emulation software. The principle advantages are the availability of fully documented source codes, compatibility with (potentially) all brands of hardware, advanced looping capabilities in ASCII command files, and access to global variables and spectra in user-written software. 6 figs.
