Title: FGD system operation and maintenance: Big Bend Unit 4, Tampa Electric Company

During the first 18 months of operation, the Big Bend Unit 4 FGD system has achieved over 99 percent reliability. This impressive record is due to the efforts of the engineering and the operation and maintenance (OandM) departments. This paper describes OandM department organization and operation.
