Abstract

The bibliography contains citations of selected patents concerning ceramic materials that are used in internal combustion engines. The citations refer to materials whose properties include resistance to heat, wear, and corrosion. Fabrication techniques of ignition system components, combustion chamber parts, exhaust valves, turbine rotors and stators, turbine blades, and heat exchangers are discussed. Ceramic metal composites suitable for engine components are also considered. (Contains a minimum of 181 citations and includes a subject term index and title list.)
