Title: Kinetics of emission from a neodymium pentaphosphate microlaser pumped by short pulses

Abstract

An experimental investigation was made of the kinetics of stimulated emission from a neodymium pentaphosphate (NdP/sub 5/O/sub 14/) microlaser pumped by 10 to 20 nsec pulses provided by a rhodamine 6G laser. The response of the resonator was the main factor which delayed (relative to the pump pulses) and broadened the output pulses.
