Study of nuclear structure and the nucleon-nucleon interaction in quasielastic scattering of electrons by /sup 3/He
We describe the technique and present the results of a study of the reaction /sup 3/He (e,e'p) for primary energies E/sub i/ = 806 and 643 MeV and electron scattering angles theta/sub e/ = 31 and 28/sup 0/ with energy resolution 4 and 2.6 MeV, respectively. The angular distributions (theta/sub p/ = 47.5--72.5/sup 0/ and 54--72/sup 0/) and momentum distributions (q/sub R/ = +- 100 MeV/c) of protons for two-particle and three-particle disintegration of /sup 3/He are compared with model and exact calculations with use of various wave functions of the /sup 3/He ground state. It is shown that the angular and momentum distributions obtained are best described by a model calculation with use of the Irving wave function and the exact calculation with the Yamaguchi potential and the Tabakin parameters.
