Title: Structural dynamics and vibration -- 1994. PD-Volume 63

Abstract

The 17th Annual Energy-Sources Technology Conference organized by the Petroleum Division of the ASME has aimed to review the latest developments in technique and theory and point out new advanced future trends. This volume contains the contributions to the symposium on Structural Dynamics and Vibration. The symposium focused on: fluid-structure interaction, vibration in elastic medium, out of plane frequencies, vibrations due to transient, white noise responses, vibration analysis by dynamically equivalent systems, application of neural network to dynamic analysis, dynamic systems with discontinuities, bifurcation, investigation by error matrix methods, nonlinear vibrations of heavy masses, absorber added thick beams, analysis of strongly nonlinear systems by the method of weakening, nonlinear vibration under random excitation, management of the dynamics of the systems with discontinuities. Twenty papers have been processed separately for inclusion on the data base.
