The accurate evaluation of water saturation is nearly always complicated to some degree by invasion effects. In order to allow the interpreter to compensate for the influence of invasion upon the resistivity measurements, multiple spaced instruments are used; however, the correction of the basic data tends to be relatively time consuming because of the nature of the charts involved. This article describes two algorithms for the programmable calculator that solve the Dual Induction-Laterolog 8 ''tornado'' charts. These algorithms are similar to the previous solution, however, the programs provide ''total'' chart analysis for R/sub t/ R/sub ID/, R/sub xo/ R/sub t/, and d/sub i/ for the recently published charts.
