Mass spectra of neptunium (IV) and -(VI). beta. -diketonates

The mass spectra of a series of volatile ..beta..-diketonates of Np(IV, VI) and their adducts have been recorded. Information has been obtained concerning the form of their occurrence in the gas phase. The fragmentation pathways of Np(IV) and Np(VI) ..beta..-diketonates have been investigated. The relationship between the fragmentation pathway and oxidative-reductive properties of the central ion has been elucidated.
