This report presents the findings of a study undertaken to evaluate the economics and technical feasibility of producing pipeline quality methane from biomass in an area of central Florida. The study involved land-use mapping, assessment of biomass production potential, and evaluation of base case and advanced biomass-to-methane systems. Economic evaluations were performed to identify major components which impact on the total gas production cost. A levelized cost model including allowance for product development costs was utilized. Areas of further research needs were identified and discussed.
