Title: Rotational inelastic cross sections for OCS--Ar, OCS--He, OCS--H/sub 2/ collisions: A comparison between theory and experiment

Abstract

Pressure broadening parameters resulting from collisional perturbations by Ar, He, and H/sub 2/ for a number of rotational transitions in the ..nu../sub 3/ band of OCS have been measured using a diode laser spectrometer. The data are compared with theoretical values obtained using intermolecular potentials previously suggested for these systems and infinite order sudden approximation molecular scattering calculations.
