Violation of translational invariance of the gluon propagator

The gauge dependence in the path-dependent approach is shown to lead toviolation of translational invariance of the gluon propagator. A method isdeveloped for uniquely determining the rules for passing around additional polesin gauges of the type /ital A//sub 0/=0, /ital n//sup ..cap alpha..//ital A//sub ..cap alpha../=0. These gaugesshould be understood as the limit of more general gauge conditions.
