Large-p/sub T/ direct photon production and photon-hadron correlations in QCD

The present status of large-p/sub T/ direct photon production in perturbative QCD is reviewed. Recent calculations of the QCD correction due to photon Bremsstrahlung (quark-quark subprocess) are presented. Theoretical predictions on p/sup +/..--> gamma..+X are discussed and compared with data. It is shown that opposite-side photon-hadron correlations provide a good determination of the gluon fragmentation to a hadron.
