The static water feed, alkaline electrolyzer is an attractive candidate for industrial hydrogen generation systems because of its inherent simplicity and potential for low cost and reliability. Besides minimizing Water Electrolysis System (WES) components the static feed approach can tolerate impure water sources since the cell internally distills the water before it is electrolyzed.
