Title: Unbound spinons in the [ital S]=1/2 antiferromagnetic chain KCuF[sub 3]

Abstract

Inelastic neutron scattering has been used to study the temperature dependence of the magnetic response in the one-dimensional [ital S]=1/2 Heisenberg antiferromagnet KCuF[sub 3]. The scattering is consistent with that expected for unbound spinon pair excitations.
