Emphasis is placed on progress toward the hardware realization of a numerical linear algebra library of functions. The objective is to utilize VLSI/VHSIC technology in parallel architectures to provide a real-time equivalent of the Linpack/Eispack capabilities. The authors discuss new architectures for the multiplication of dense matrices, configurations for partitioned matrix operations, and applications to crossambiguity function calculation. 12 references.
