Measurement of the branching fraction of the decay UPSILON(1S). -->. tau/sup +/tau/sup -/

The branching fraction for the decay of the UPSILON(1S) into tau pairs has been measured to be 3.4 +- 0.4 +- 0.4%. This result agrees with the previously measured branching ratio of the decay into muon pairs.
