Cities Service Company conducted a reservoir study of the West Seminole oil field in Texas to develop the most profitable and effective management program for this large carbonate reservoir. A three-dimensional, three-phase, black oil simulator was used for analyzing the production history of the reservoir and for predicting future performance under a variety of possible operating methods. Experience has shown that an accurate resevoir description is essential to the success of any numerical simulation study and to the development of an effective reservoir management plan. 8 refs.
