Title: Indication of two temperatures and their correlation with anomalous interaction mean free path of Z = 2 projectile fragments in /sup 12/C-emulsion interaction

Journal Article · · Mod. Phys. Letters B; (United States)

This paper presents an experimental investigation of the occurrence of two distinct temperatures in the fragmentation region of /sup 12/C-emulsion interaction at 4.5 A GeV/c. It is observed that the projectile fragments of Z = 2 are emitted from two different temperatures, that is, 10 MeV and 40 MeV. Moreover, it is also observed that the alpha particles emitted from the 10 MeV region has some (5%) anomalous components in their mean free paths.
