Resource Letter ETDSTS-1: Experimental tests of the discrete space-time symmetries

This Resource Letter provides a guide to the literature on experimental tests of space-inversion symmetry or parity ([ital P]), charge conjugation symmetry ([ital C]), time reversal symmetry ([ital T]), and the combined symmetries [ital CP] and [ital CPT]. Journal articles and books are cited for the following topics: early history, parity nonconservation in charged weak interactions, parity nonconservation in high-energy polarized-electron scattering, parity nonconservation in atoms, [ital CPT] invariance, tests of [ital C]-invariance, [ital CP] violation in neutral kaon decay, tests of time-reversal invariance, and search for electric dipole moments. [The letter E after an item indicates elementary level or material of general interest to persons becoming informed in the field. The letter I, for intermediate level, indicates material of a somewhat more specialized nature, and the letter A indicates rather specialized or advanced material.]
