This paper discusses a second-order accuracy integration method based on a one-dimensional Lagrangean scheme which is a second-order sequel to Godunov method. But unlike the Godunov method this method achieves second-order accuracy by taking the distributions of the state inside a gas slab to be linear, rather than uniform. This method is applied to integral equations of ideal two-dimensional compressible flow problems. 20 refs., 15 figs., 1 tab.
