Title: BLEND: cubic spline blending routine

Abstract

BLEND is a bivariate surface fitting routine which approximates smooth surfaces to a very high degree of accuracy. The techniques originate from Dr. William Gordon of General Motors Research Laboratories. This report describes the techniques, and describes an implementation specialized to cubic spline blending. A numerical example is given.
