Methodology for assessing the radiological consequences of radioactive releases from the CIT (Compact Ignition Tokamak) facility at PPPL (Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory)
This report contains information to support the Environmental Assessment for the Compact Ignition Tokamak Project (CIT) proposed for Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory (PPPL). The assumptions and methodology used to assess the impact to members of the public from operational and accidental releases of radioactive material from the proposed CIT during the operational period of the project are described. A description of the tracer release tests conducted at PPPL by NOAA is included; dispersion values from these tests are used in the dose calculation. Radiological releases, doses, and resulting health risks are calculated. The computer code AIRDOS-EPA is used to calculatemore »
