Crystal chemistry of the cation matrices in U(IV) and Th(IV) fluorides (in Russian)

The cation positions were analyzed in a series U(IV) and Th(IV) fluorides of different structural types. A tendency was found for the retention of planar cation networks or their fragments as well as the dependence of the density of cation networks on the ratio of the total numbers of anions and cations in the structures. Examples were shown for the appearance of vacancies in the cation matrix.
