Title: Kinetics of generation and amplification of YAG:Nd/sup 3 +/ laser radiation in a periodic Q-switched regime with pulsed pumping

An experimental study was made of the process of giant pulse formation in a YAG:Nd/sup 3 +/ laser operating in a periodic Q-switched regime with pulsed pumping. The influence of superradiance on the amplitude and temporal characteristics of the radiation was analyzed.
